Verbs for Daily Routines in Spanish – Crossword Puzzle

¡Hola! Thanks for using our resources to learn Spanish. This time, we designed a very nice PDF worksheet with two vocabulary exercises on the most important reflexive and non-reflexive verbs to use when talking about daily routines in Spanish. We hope that you find this useful to reinforce your knowledge on this topic.

Instructions:

Students could work by themselves or in groups to solve the exercises on this worksheet.

Print the worksheet and give each student a copy. In the first exercise, students must solve a crossword puzzle about reflexive verbs in Spanish by following the clues below the puzzle. Please know that they will find both reflexive and non-reflexive verbs in the puzzle, and that reflexive verbs usually end in -SE in their base form, .e.g: “dormirse” or “bañarse”. As for the second exercise, they should simply write the number on the circles near each drawing that corresponds to the activities on the left. It’s very important that they recognize these activities and make associations with things they do in their own daily routines.

Extra activity:

The teacher brings some flashcards with pictures on one side and the name of each daily activity in Spanish on the back. Then, he makes two lines of students. After that, each student is given a chance to point at a reflexive verb in Spanish once the teacher has given a clue like the ones in the crossword puzzle. The teacher must give them a few seconds to think about the answer and repeat the clue if needed. No help from team members should be allowed. The team that guesses the most reflexive or non-reflexive verbs for daily routines in Spanish wins.
