¡Hola! Thanks for joining us and using our resources to learn Spanish. This time, we are sharing a PDF worksheet with exercises to practice the Spanish present progressive tense, which is necessary to talk about actions in progress. Let’s start…
Directions:
Students could work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises on this worksheet. They can also solve it online on this page.
On top of the worksheet, you will find a short explanation on how we can use the present progressive tense in Spanish. This tense is called “perífrasis de gerundio” and it is a truly useful and common structure.
- To solve the first exercise, students must add the correct conjugations of the verb «ESTAR» in the present tense, and also the gerund form of the verbs in the first column to complete each sentence in the chart.
- For the second exercise, students must read all the parts of the sentences, unscramble them and write them on the line following the structure for sentences with «Estar + gerundio».
