¡Hola! Thanks for learning Spanish with us. This PDF worksheet includes two interesting exercises to help you practice the rules to form the regular past participle of Spanish verbs, a pattern that is essential for many tenses in the language. Let’s start…
Directions:
Students could work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises on this worksheet. They can also solve it online on this page.
On top of the worksheet, we explain that the participle in Spanish is a non-personal form of the verb that will end in the suffixes “-ado/-ada” and “-ido/ida” for verbs that have a regular participle form, which we must memorize and remember. This usually comes with a lot of practice or by learning those verbs that have an irregular participle in Spanish first, such as “ver” (visto) and many others.
To solve the first exercise, students must read each sentence and complete them with the past participle in Spanish of the verbs in parentheses, making sure to change the verbs’ endings correctly for all of them. As usual, we recommend using a conjugation tool to double-check they are using the right form. For the second exercise, students must read a short conversation between two coworkers at a company about business strategies, and find all the verbs in participle in it. They can either circle or underline them.
