To solve the exercise in this worksheet, students must know how to write basic sentences in Spanish. They will see several pictures of people doing different things in this material, plus questions about what each person is doing – « lo que ellos están haciendo». They must write the answer to each question, making sure to use the correct subject in their reply and the structure «Estar + gerundio» to reflect actions in progress. Know that the answers to these questions may vary from one student to another based on their interpretations of the drawings, but all the replies should use «Estar + gerundio» correctly, for example:
- ¿Qué estoy haciendo yo? – Tú estás haciendo los quehaceres. (What am I doing? – You’re doing the chores.)
- ¿Qué está haciendo ella? – Ella está bailando. (What is she doing? – She is dancing.)
