¡Hola! Thanks for joining us. This time, we are sharing another interesting PDF worksheet to practice the verb GUSTAR (to like) to talk about the things you like or dislikes in Spanish. Let’s start…
Directions:
Students could work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises on this worksheet. They can also solve it online on this page.
As we explain briefly on this material, to make sentences with “GUSTAR” we need to know who likes the action with a prepositional phrase (a mí, a ti, a nosotros…), then add an indirect object pronoun and the verb GUSTAR in its forms “gusta” and “gustan”, plus the activity.
To solve the first exercise, students must look at a chart with three columns. The first one tells who performs an action, the action itself in the second column, and the third column tells whether these people like that activity or not. Students should write sentences, just like the sample sentences in this material or the ones below.
Yo / salir con mis amigos / (✔) | A mí me gusta salir con mis amigos. (“A mí” is optional here ) |
Ella / hablar en público / ✘ | A ella no le gusta hablar en público (“A ella” is optional) |
To solve the second exercise, they must fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verb “GUSTAR” so that this short text about someone’s hobbies in Spanish make sense.
