¡Hola! Thanks for using our resources to practice Spanish. This worksheet was designed to help you practice the imperative mode in Spanish for regular verbs, an essential grammar structure to give commands and instructions in the language. Let’s start…
Directions:
Students could work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises on this worksheet.
This material includes a short explanation about this tense. Basically, the imperative is a verb form used for commands in Spanish. For regular verbs, we must follow specific conjugation rules for the set of subject pronouns that work for this tense. Notice that the pronouns “Yo, él, ella, ellos” do not have an imperative form.
In order to solve the first exercise, students must complete the chart with the correct imperative forms in Spanish of three regular -AR, -ER, -IR ending verbs. Some of these conjugations have already been added, and students can also use a conjugation tool to find the remaining conjugations. For the second exercise, they must fill in the blanks with the correct forms in imperatives of the verbs in parentheses for those specific pronouns. Finally, in the third exercise, they should simply circle or underline the verbs in this tense.
