Irregular Imperatives in Spanish – PDF Worksheet

¡Hola! Thanks again for using our resources. We designed this PDF worksheet for you to practice the imperative mode of a set of key irregular verbs in Spanish with two grammar exercises. Let’s start…

Directions:

Students could work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises on this worksheet.

This material includes a short explanation about irregular imperatives in Spanish work for some verbs. Unlike regular verbs, irregular verbs will not follow conjugation rules. Instead, you must memorize some of the forms of these verbs, including those for the imperative mode. Again, the imperative will not apply for the pronouns “Yo, él, ella, ellos”.

  • ¡Haz la tarea! (Do your homework!) – We used the verb “HACER” in imperative. As it is irregular, we can’t say “Hace la tarea” the way we would if “hacer” were regular.

In order to solve the first exercise, students must complete the chart with the correct imperative forms in Spanish of ten irregular verbs. Some of these conjugations have already been added, and students can also use a conjugation tool to find the remaining conjugations. For the second exercise, they must fill in the blanks with the correct conjugations in the imperative mode in Spanish for the verbs in parentheses and for those specific pronouns.
