Welcome to our site! This time, we are sharing a fantastic PDF worksheet featuring a multiple-choice exercise to help you practice indirect object pronouns in Spanish one more time. Let’s get to work!
Instructions:
Students can work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises. They can also solve them online on this page.
The indirect object refers to the things or people for whom something is intended or toward whom something is directed—in other words, those affected by a particular action or verb. This indirect object can be replaced by the pronouns “me,” “te,” “le,” “les,” “nos,” “os,” and “se”—sometimes referred to as “leísmo” or as part of what is known as an “indirect object of interest” in the language. To solve the main exercise on the worksheet, students must read and analyze sixteen short sentences, identify the indirect object in each, and select the appropriate Spanish indirect object pronoun, ensuring it agrees with the rest of the sentence, for example:
- Javier _______ escribió a mí para pedirme tu número. (Who did he write to? – To me or “A mí”. This is our indirect object here.)
- Javier me escribió a mí para pedirme tu número. (we would need the indirect object pronoun «me» because it corresponds to “a mí”)
