Hello! Thanks for joining us. This time, we’re sharing some excellent material for practicing Spanish possessives, particularly the equivalent of possessive pronouns from the English, called “posesivos tónicos” in Spanish. Let’s get to work!
Instructions:

First, unlike possessive adjectives (determinantes posesivos) such as “mi” or “tu,” possessives like “mío” or “tuyo” are used after a verb or other words; for this reason, they are also known as postnominal possessives in Spanish.
- Exercise No. 1: Students must look at illustrations of people and their pets, and then complete simple sentences using the correct possessive pronoun in Spanish, based on the people in the drawings and the personal pronoun written in the speech bubbles.
- Exercise No. 2: Students must write the correct Spanish possessive that matches the owner of each object, based on the additional information in parentheses and the objects described in the sentences.
